School Grants

In communities near our pipelines and facilities in the U.S. and Canada, our Educational Grant Program for elementary schools provides free copies of Be Kid Smart on Pipeline Safety by author Donna Hyde, a story coloring book. The story follows neighbors, Ross and Honor, as they learn about pipeline rights-of-way, pipeline markers, and the importance of calling 811 before digging.

 

Participating teachers or schools that read the story and educate their students on the benefits of calling 811 before digging are eligible to apply for an educational grant that can be used to acquire educational materials, supplies, or classroom improvements.
